ABC is going country with The 44th Annual CMA Awards, which will broadcast on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 (8:00 -11:00 p.m. ET), according to a November 4, 2010 press release from ABC. ABC is taking fan questions to be asked of some of country’s biggest stars on the red carpet. In addition, Artist Countdown, featuring six of the nominated artists, will be on the ABC website from November 5-10, 2010. Artist Countdown spends time with country music artists, including: Chris Young, Jerrod Niemann, Joey + Rory, Luke Bryan, Little Big Town and Dierks Bentley.
Live from the Red Carpet
Live from the Red Carpet offers fans a chance to send in their questions to the stars of country music. Show hosts wil ask fan questions of the stars on the Red Carpet. Hosts Jillian Harris (“The Bachelorette,” “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”), Brett Chukerman (“Live from the Red Carpet at the Oscars”) and Jake Whetter (Radio Disney on air personality) will ask Country Music’s biggest stars fans’ questions during the red carpet segment at “The 44th Annual CMA Awards.” These exclusive interviews will stream live on abc.com on Wednesday, November 10 (6:00-8:00 p.m., ET). Live from the Red Carpet leads up to the network broadcast of the CMA Awards.
Artist Countdown returns in 2010 with six new episodes, offering country musc fans an inside look at the “day in the life” of each CMA Award-nominated artists, including Chris Young, Jerrod Niemann, Joey + Rory, Luke Bryan, Little Big Town and Dierks Bentley. The show will feature a day in the life of the artists, from their hectic rehearsals to time spent relaxing at home. CMA’ s Artist Countdown will be available on abc.com beginning Friday, November 5, concluding on Wednesday, November 10, 2010.
