PHILANTHROPY

The Carter Lay Charitable Fund and David Beebe Projects partner to fund, develop, and produce digital media projects that introduce at risk youth to the power of digital storytelling. The partnership drives social change by using digital content to give at risk youth the access, skills and guidance to explore the power of the arts and inspire them to use digital media as a positive outlet to express their creativity on a worldwide platform

“Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future” - JFK

Through their partnership, The Carter Lay Charitable Fund will continue its strong relationship and commitments with reputable non-profit organizations and in partnership with David Beebe Projects will now also seek ways to provide at risk youth mentors to facilitate the development and production of digital video and photography projects. Select creations will be auctioned off to further raise money for and give back to local charities involved in the creative arts.

The first project The Carter Lay Charitable Fund and David Beebe Projects will work on explores connecting at risk kids with a special and new experience to inspire their future. Participating at risk youth will photograph their typical day in the life within their neighborhoods. Next they will document their surprise trip never before afforded to them and reveal how this experience touched their lives. Established media professionals will curate the projects and choose a select few to be socially shared as well as auctioned off for charity.

About The Carter Lay Charitable Fund
The Carter Lay Charitable Fund is founded by Carter Lay, the California philanthropist and health and exercise enthusiast from the potato chip family that we all know and love. In 2012, Carter was diagnosed with leukemia, a traumatic event that had him reevaluate his life, goals and health. During his recovery he launched The Carter Lay Charitable Fund to raise awareness and funds to support cancer research, art programs in hospitals, at risk youth programs, music education, and to build schools around the world to help children earn an education. Carter is committed to giving back and bringing smiles, laughter and love to the world. He encourages you to come along on the journey with him. Currently The Carter Lay Charitable Fund supports Adopt the Arts, After School All Stars, Artists For Peace & Justice, Hasbro Children’s Hospital of Rhode Island, Jeffrey’s Hope, Little Kids Rock, Long Beach Miller Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, Orange County Children’s Hospital, Pencils of Promise, Racing For Kids, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Women’s Cancer Research. Doctors have now diagnosed Carter as cancer free.
